SAVIS of Halton – $2,000 (Seed grant)

Peer Support Group

SAVIS (Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention Services of Halton) provides free, confidential, and trauma-informed 24-hour support to all survivors of violence. This Seed grant will enable them to expand the agency’s trauma-informed group support service to parents and family members of survivors of sexual assault. SAVIS is the only sexual assault centre in Burlington and the Halton Region. These funds will enable them to better support those who are navigating vicarious trauma through a peer support group designed for parents and loved ones of survivors.
