Granting

The Burlington Community Foundation provides grants to charitable organizations in the local community through our Community Granting Program each fall.

Organizations that serve Burlington, Ontario are welcome to apply online and share how their initiatives, programming, and goals meet the needs of community members and align with the Vital Indicators shared in our Vital Signs reporting.

2026 Community Granting Details:

• Applications are open from September 8-29, 2026 at 5 pm
• Community priority areas: standard of living, housing, health, mental health & well-being, and underserved children and youth
• Burlington-serving organizations can apply for up to $15,000 in funding
• Application evaluations will be aligned with Burlington’s 2025 Vital Signs report
• Applications are open to registered charities and not-for-profit organizations with a fiscal sponsor
• Following review by our BCF Adjudication Committee of community members and BCF staff, successful applicants will be notified by the end of November.
• Organizations can log in to BCF’s Granting Hub (see below) to preview this year’s application.

FIRST-TIME APPLICANTS

If this is the first time your organization has applied for funding from BCF’s Community Granting Program, click this link and then click ‘Create New Account.’ Please check with all members of your team to ensure there has been no account created. Organizations should only have one account.

RETURNING APPLICANTS

If your organization has applied for funding though our Community Granting Program before, then there has been an account created. It is important that you do not create another account. If you are unsure as to whether your organization has a Granting Hub account, please reach out to us and we would be happy to check and update the account with team members who require access. New team members must be added to your account by BCF. 

ACCESSING PREVIOUS APPLICATIONS

Applicants can see past applications, drafts, reports, and the organization’s grant history for anything submitted from Fall 2025 onward. Please note that not all members of your organization may have unrestricted access to all information. Please reach out to the BCF team with any questions.
