Erin Oak Kids – $6,600 (Grow grant)

Erin Oak Kids Independent Living Program

Each July, young people with disabilities within Halton Region participate in this program held at the University of Toronto Mississauga Campus. Over 11 days, youth learn and practice independent living skills in a safe and encouraging environment. The program teaches them how to set goals, make choices and take responsibility fo their actions. Participants graduate from the program with the skills and increased confidence they need to live more independently. This grant will cover costs of those living in lower income environments unable to pay the fees to participate.
