Grow to Give program

BurlingtonGreen launched the first public community garden in Central Park in 2012, and at the same time introduced their Grow to Give program with the objective of supporting local poverty needs in the community by growing and providing healthy, organic produce to those in need. The program has been tremendously successful in bringing people together; the gardening experience itself supports mental health, community awareness of the social, economic and environmental benefits of growing local has expanded. More than 7,000 lbs of fresh, healthy food to local food banks/services has been provided.
