2012-2013 Grant Application Guidelines
Burlington Community Foundation submits a call for grant applications to Burlington charitable organizations at least once annually. These organizations serve our community in a number of ways and represent a wide variety of sectors, including education, health and social services, arts and culture, recreation and the environment.
Applications
Charities that apply for a grant must be registered and in good standing with the Canada Revenue Agency. Applications for grants, including the focus of the call for applications, will be widely distributed to local agencies. As well, the document will be posted on our website, and will include both grant recipient guidelines, and areas of pressing community need which BCF wishes to support. It is important that agencies review the application to ensure alignment with BCF funding priorities. Applications that reflect funding priorities will be considered.

Review Process
Applications are reviewed by members of BCF staff, and knowledgeable community volunteers.
Specialized Applications and Areas of Support
We have an active scholarship program supported by a number of fundholders, but we do not otherwise lend direct support to individuals. We support religious organizations if the community-at-large will significantly benefit. Burlington Community Foundation does not make grants to reduce operation or capital deficits, support ongoing operating costs, annual, general or capital fundraising campaigns, nor do we promote political, religious, moral or ethical philosophies or activities which may be deemed discriminatory.
