Mario Rende Scholarship Fund 

Why this Fund was created 

Following the untimely death of Mario Rende on May 18, 2005, a friend established a scholarship fund in his name. It is the wish of the Rende family to benefit students graduating from Assumption Catholic Secondary School, who will be entering post-secondary education or training and who exemplify the values important to Mario Rende. 

What this Fund is for  

The purpose of the Fund is to provide financial assistance to a graduating student who will be continuing formal studies or training, who has achieved a minimum of 75% who exhibits a strong work ethic and participates in co–curricular activities. The recipient will be of moral character, demonstrate respect for the dignity of the human person, and is inclusive and accepting of others. 

Who Benefits from this Fund 

Students graduating from Assumption Catholic Secondary School with a minimum of 75% average and who exhibits a strong work ethic and participates in extra-curricular activities. The recipient will be of moral character, demonstrate respect for the dignity of the human person, and is inclusive and accepting of others.
